Cream Cheese Frosting

This is my all time favorite frosting! It’s the best in my opinion…I feel like it can go with pretty much any type of cake flavor, white, vanilla, chocolate, carrot, etc. Just 4 ingredients and a couple of minutes you can easily whip up a frosting you can enjoy. Side note! this frosting can melt easily if left out in the heat, so I do recommend that you place it in the refrigerator after making it and keep the frosted cupcakes/cake refrigerated right before and after serving.

Yields: 3-4 cups Total Time: 10 minutes

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

In a cold mixing bowl, beat softened butter until creamy.

Add softened cream cheese and vanilla extract and beat until creamy as well.

Slowly and preferably in small batches (about a cup at a time), mix powdered sugar into the creamy mixture.

Continue to mix until all of the powdered sugar is combined well and smooth.

Cover and refrigerate until ready to used.
